YAHOO IS SHUTTING DOWN DELICIOUS
Signal boosted from cleolinda
PSA Stuff:
Yahoo, in what experts are calling "a dick move," is shutting down Delicious following layoffs. They're keeping the site open for today, but if you use it, you might want to go run and export your bookmarks sharpish-like.
ailelie has a post up on free alternatives to Delicious. For fannish purposes, the AO3 has a function that lets you bookmark and tag outside posts on your account there. If anyone wants an access code, I have one.
On a more personal note:
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
I have over 700 bookmarks on Delicious, mostly fannish, with a tagging system that has been nothing less than a labor of love. I can find pretty much any fic, video, or fanart I wanted to remember in three tags or less, and I've come to depend on the "number of Delicious bookmarks" rating as a means of finding quality new fic. #firstworldproblems, yeah, but I had everything set up EXACTLY the way I wanted it. The thought of giving that up or re-doing it on another platform is extremely daunting.
